The genuine Tumi-isi made in Japan was released in 2008 in the Ambiente exhibition, Germany. All items are made in prefectures of Nara, using Japanese Cedar and Hinoki from the same prefecture. Special editions made by Walnut, Cherry, Beech, and Mix of those hardwoods are available. Beautifully handcrafted by Japanese craftsman. The name Tumi-isi, is made after the Japanese kid's game of "Tsumi-ki" which means building blocks by wood. A promotional video can be seen from our Instagram account.
